The Ultimate Products of Luxury

The ultimate products of luxury – Hourglass never fails to excite beauty lovers. I have been desperate to get my hands on the new Ambient Lighting Edit Palette which seems to be the product of 2015, but unfortunately it’s sold out on every website it’s available on, which sucks and means I’m having to buy the powders I want individually or in different palettes. But this does work out in my favour too, although it may be a little more expensive, I am able to buy the powders and shades I will get more use out of, which is in some way saving money.

Ambient Lighting Palette £59

Dim Light – A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with a balance of warm and cool tones. Perfect for sweeping over the cheeks, cheekbones and temples as a highlighting bronzer or contour shade.
Incandescent Light – An opalescent pearl powder that highlights the cheekbones and brightens the complexion with celestial, holiday glow.

Radiant Light – A sun-kissed golden beige powder that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth.
This palette is filled with 3 different shades for different uses, as described above. Each powder is so finely milled so it won’t feel heavy on the skin or won’t weight down the skin. The palette is so sleek and slim which will be perfect for travelling and the big mirror also helps. The packaging is nicely weighted without being too heavy but feels like it’s made of good quality which is what you want when your spending £59 on a palette for the face. I also think this palette will last a long time as the powders are so pigmented you won’t need to use too much.

Ambient Lighting Bronzer £42

Luminous Bronze – The lighter shade of the two bronzers, perfect for those with pale skin. Made with bronze pigments to deliver a natural, sun-kissed glow while exhibiting depth and dimension. The sheer, airy formula sweeps on softly for a healthy-looking, radiant finish to the skin.

This bronzer has quite a bit of sparkle in, which I’m not used to – I’m mainly used to matte bronzers due to my skin being oily but I’m looking forward to giving this a try and seeing if it works with my skin. The packaging is so pretty and feels so luxurious, it’s also a lovely size for a bronzer pan with a really nice size mirror and is quite sleek so it will be perfect for travelling. It’s got a lovely weight to the packaging but isn’t too heavy and the bronzer quality is very finely milled so it’s really lightweight on the skin and doesn’t feel like it will weight the skin down. The gorgeous marble effect in the bronzer is something else and looks like it will be the perfect shade for those with light skin tones. This bronzer worked perfectly well with my oily/combination skin. It was the right tone for me and didn’t look overly shiny despite it having shimmer in the mix. It’s so easy to blend as it’s finely milled.

This has definitely been a huge splurge for me, with me looking at my checkout before purchasing thinking ‘Do I really need this? Can I find anything better than this?’ But then I thought can you get anything better than Hourglass products? as you are paying for quality and the ultimate luxury products. And also with receiving a discount code through VoucherCodes.co.uk who I highly recommend using if you love shopping. Through my special code for Space N K, I managed to get 15% off my order when I spent over £60. Yes these products are really pricey but their quality is something else and if you think you will get the wear out of these products then I guess it will be worth splurging on these types of products. The powders are said to last so much longer as they are so pigmented so you will be making your money stretch further in a way, which makes it kinda worth it.
