It has been a while since I went to the Thailand Tourism Festival which was in Bangkok and that was about 3 years ago. It’s a beautiful festival set up on the heart of Bangkok City in Lumphini Park. It was my first time in Bangkok then and it was great that we came across this lovely festival when we did.
A GUIDE TO VISITING THE THAILAND TOURISM FESTIVAL
SO, WHAT IS THE THAILAND TOURISM FESTIVAL?
It is the largest domestic festival in Thailand. It is on every January from the 23rd to the 27th! From 12:00pm to 22:00pm, five tourism villages will display the unique and different ways of life of Thai people across the region and there will be booths where visitors can find information about Chiang Mai, Sukhothai, Surat Thani, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Chachoengsao, and Udon Thani.
The festival features many different stands from food, clothing and services from all over the country – bringing together all the regions in Thailand. It’s a great way to get a feel of all the traditions and talents from all over. It also has local schools performing songs on the main stage and traditional Thai dancers performing different numbers.
WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
There are various clothing and product stalls there feature lots of amazing handmade gifts and items. I picked up a gorgeous brown purse which was made by weaving dyed bamboo together in a pretty pattern and sewn together with material to create a purse.
I love it because it’s ethically friendly and made using one of nature’s creations. My parents also purchased something, being almost a totem pole face which was hand carved from a bamboo pole.

You can also get lots of yummy food and drinks there from the fresh food stalls and retail stalls. The perfect place to get a taste of all the delicious cuisine from around Thailand in one place. Definitely recommend eating Pad Thai!
