• 5 Things To Do In Stratford Upon Avon

I had a lovely weekend away with the girls in November when we went away for our annual Christmas getaway. This time was in Stratford Upon Avon. This is my guide of things to do in Stratford Upon Avon. I have already written up a blog post about the places you should eat and drink at there.

If we had longer there we would definitely have done a lot more but since we had two full days there, we tried to fit in as much as we could. And plus the weather was a bit restricting too, if we went during spring or summer it would have been a lot nicer. Especially the Shakespeare gardens!

    VISIT THE NUTCRACKER CHRISTMAS SHOP

As we went in November, it was only right to start getting into the festive spirit. We visited the famous Nutcracker Christmas Shop – which there is one in quite a few locations across the UK. It was filled with so many different christmas decorations all split up into colour schemes or styles. There was a very pretty rose gold section or this glass decoration section (in the photo above). If you ever need to get in the festive spirit, I recommend visiting one of these shops.

    VISIT ANNE HATHAWAYS COTTAGE

Learn all about Shakespeare’s wife and how she fits in with his success. Explore her cottage and see what life was like back in those times, learn about how they lived and explore the beautiful gardens near her cottage as well. It’s a great place to get an insight into their lives and learn the history.

EAT AND DRINK YOUR WAY AROUND STRATFORD

There are plenty of yummy places to stop to have a warm drink or some delicious dinner. I have written a post on the places you should eat at there. If you are looking to stop for a quick hot drink I’d definitely recommend checking out Coffee#1 or for something a little more filled with character, take a look into Hobson’s Patisserie where I ordered this massive sandwich and hot chocolate from – yummy!
