A 6 Day Itinerary Guide To Langkawi

Want to spend 6 days in the beautiful beach resort island of Langkawi? Taking a break from exploring the city? Then make sure you read ahead for my 6 day itinerary guide to Langkawi. My guide is filled with everything you should do there and lots of other information for booking your trip. We spent 6 days in Langkawi either side of visiting Koh Lipe and in between our city exploring of Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

A ITINERARY GUIDE TO LANGKAWI AND THE BEST THINGS TO DO THERE

DAY ONE

WATCH THE SUNSET ON CENANG BEACH

The very first day we arrived, it was early afternoon so we didn’t do much on our first day. We checked into our hotel Telaga Terrace which was a lovely boutique hotel. Then we freshened up before walking down to the beach, had a drink in a small bar to cool down and then caught the sunset which was beautiful.

DAY TWO

LANGKAWI SKY BRIDGE

On our first full day, we decided to check out the Langkawi Sky Bridge which is quite a big tourist attraction in Langkawi. I have a very extensive blog post about the Sky Bridge which is filled with lots of information for you to read. It’s a curved pedestrian bridge in Langkawi that offers amazing views of the island which is accessible via cable cars.

DAY THREE

CATCH THE FERRY TO KOH LIPE

In the middle of our time in Langkawi, we had a few days in Koh Lipe. We had 4 days in Koh Lipe to relax on the beach and enjoy the gorgeous ocean around the island. I have written a post all about catching the ferry to Koh Lipe which you can read to help you get to the island.

DAY FOUR

MANGROVE TOUR

After we got back from Koh Lipe, we had a day to adjust and get ready for our next big excursion. Which was a mangrove boat tour. We had a really early start and to be taken to the boat harbour. It was a great tour in which we got to see lots of Malaysian water monkies and see the mangroves up close.

DAY FIVE

BEACH DAY

We had a relaxing day on our second to last day due to being up so early the day before. After having breakfast, we headed down to Cenang beach and found a nice spot to relax. It was very hot that day, reaching almost high 30s which was very sweaty so it was great to jump in the sea to cool down. I took my GoPro dome in with me so get a few pictures in the water and we sadly found a dead starfish.

DAY SIX

RELAX BY THE BEACH

We had a little bit of time to kill before our flight to Kuala Lumpur, so we stayed on the beach. We’d decided not to go too far away from the hotel so we could get a taxi from the hotel to the airport. It was quite hot so I didn’t stay in the sun too long as I didn’t want to get too sweaty.

FLY TO KUALA LUMPUR

We had a mid-day flight to Kuala Lumpur which is an hours flight from Langkawi with AirAsia. When we landed, the weather was gorgeous and we got a taxi to our apartment before exploring.
