• 10 Christmas Holiday Destinations You Need To Visit

The festive season always fills me with joy when I am around the best people in my life. It’s a time for laughter, love and sharing the good times. Check out these awesome Christmas holiday destinations you need to visit. I also love helping those who are less fortunate during the festive season and those who don’t have a warm place to stay or a hot meal to eat.

Whether you like the cold weather or are looking for somewhere warmer to run away to during the holiday season, I have put together my favourite and bucketlist destinations to visit. This will help you spread your wings and travel somewhere new during the holidays.

10 CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS YOU NEED TO VISIT

    01. Iceland

Oh Iceland! How can I not love you? I travelled to Iceland a couple of years ago for my 21st but that was during their summer. I’d love to visit during the winter to see the Northern Lights, explore the fjords and glaciers in the snow and then snuggle up in a cabin to stay warm.

    02. Stratford-Upon-Avon

I visited Stratford-Upon-Avon last Christmas for the annual girls trip with my mum and her friends. It was a cold and frosty weekend in Stratford which was perfect for exploring the birthplace of Shakespear.

    • Explore Stratford and discover more about Shakespear.
    • Cozy up after your exploring in these restaurants for some delicious food and warm hot chocolates.

Top Tip: Want to learn how to pack your suitcase efficiently, including rolling clothes and the essentials to pack. Check out my packing tips here.

    03. Belgium

Although I visited Belgium during the Easter holidays and it was super sunny and lovely, I’d love to visit Belgium during the Christmas period and when it’s covered in snow. The dream of eating warm waffles and whipped cream topped hot chocolates is just well.. heart eye emojis. Belgium also has some of the best Christmas Markets across Europe including ones in Brussels and Brugge.

    04. New York

I visited New York years ago when I was 9 but the dream of being in the Big Apple over Christmas is such a dream. I’m thinking Home Alone vibes with masses of lights, ice skating rinks and snowy walks through Central Park (plus all the amazing shopping you can do).

    05. Austria

The dream is to visit Austria when it’s covered in snow, especially Hallstatt and stay in a gorgeous chalet overlooking the lake. I have so many chalets in Hallstatt pinned on my AirBnB bucket list that I urgently need to tick them off as they’re all so gorgeous.

    06. Switzerland

Who doesn’t want to visit Switzerland to eat lots of cheese and play in the snow. I’d love to visit Switzerland and stay on a ski resort (even though I can’t ski yet) but I plan on trying one day.

    07. Lake District

I have visited the Lake District before for a WMGT’s trip in October a couple of years ago but I’d love to visit again when it’s snowy and cold. It was quite cold when I visited a couple of years ago and did some water activities and also a hike up the fells but would love to do more wintery walks and stay in a cozy cottage with Max (our dog).

    08. Canada

I’d love to travel to Canada anyway to explore the insane landscapes and sights there, but to have a road trip over Christmas in Canada would be amazing.

Top Tip: Search Skyscanner for the best flights and top deals when booking your next Christmas trip.

    09. Australia

Not somewhere snowy but to visit Australia over the winter months would be amazing. I need to head Down Under very soon, it’s very high on my bucket list! If anyone wants to give me a couple of grand, I’ll be very happy.

    10. Liverpool/Manchester

I visited Liverpool on another of my Christmas trips with the girls a few years ago and it was so magical doing our Christmas shopping in the main shopping centre with all of the Christmas lights. Manchester is said to have one of the best Christmas markets in the UK so I am dying to visit that one year. Other great Christmas markets in the UK are in Birmingham and Bath.

    • Find the best places to eat in Liverpool for some warming hot chocolates to shop til you drop fuel.
My favourite breakfast/brunch spot in Liverpool for smoothie bowls and avo on toast.
