• Staying In The New Radisson Blu Hotel In Canary Wharf

I haven’t stayed in a Radisson Blu hotel before but when I had the chance to stay at one whilst in London a couple of weeks back, I couldn’t say no. I had a lovely weekend up in London with my Dad to see Two Door Cinema Club at The O2, and we stayed in the new Radisson Blu Hotel Edwardian New Providence near the Canary Wharf.

RADISSON BLU HOTEL IN CANARY WHARF // REVIEW

We stayed in this Radisson Blu hotel as it was quite close to The O2 and a really reasonable price as well. We had originally booked a twin room but when we arrived, since they don’t have twin rooms we were upgraded to 1 bedroom suite which was lovely.

After finishing a half day at work, me and Dad drove up to Hillingdon and caught the underground to Canning Town before jumping on the DLR and getting off at Canary Wharf. Until we realised that East India was actually a closer stop to the hotel. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and a smile from our receptionist Luka who was lovely and so helpful.

    LOCATION OF HOTEL

The Radisson Blu hotel is near the Canary Wharf. It is located directly opposite The O2 so it’s perfect to stay there if you are attending an event at the venue. We caught the train from Hillingdon to Canning Town to then change onto the DLR and got off at Canary Wharf and also East India to get to the hotel. We also caught the DLR to Canning Town and got off at North Greenwich for The O2.

    AMENITIES

The Radisson Blu hotel has so many amenities for you to enjoy whilst you are staying there, whether it’s for work or pleasure. They have so many awesome features in their hotel including a massive reception with their own bar and restaurant called Scoff & Banter where you can get breakfast and also have dinner along with a wide range of drinks at the bar.

The hotel includes a gym and East River Spa, meeting rooms, large suite rooms, WiFi in every room and also a Nespresso coffee machine and mini bar. Near this hotel there is also a dry cleaners and launderette so if you need your washing done on a business trip or personal trip, this will be perfect.

Their breakfast buffet is either included in your booking or you can add it on once you arrive at the hotel. We paid for ours when we checked in which was £15 each, that was very good value as it was an all you can eat buffet which starts at 6am and finishes around 11am on weekends. You can order cooked dishes like eggs benedict or waffles and you can also choose from their cooked buffet for your full english breakfast items and danish.

If talking to a human concierge is a bit too time-consuming for you, you can send Edward, the hotels new virtual assistant a text instead. He can help with anything from maintenance issues to what the weather is like, help guests get information about the local area, and they even send in their complaints.

    THE ROOMS

There are so many room suites in this hotel it’s amazing. We originally booked a double room but they did not have any available so we were upgraded to a king suite which included a king sized bed an a double sofa bed that was so comfy and massive. We had two huge televisions in each of the rooms with comfy chairs and a glass table in the lounge part of the room.

The bathroom was massive with a waterfall shower, large bath, television screen in the wall, toilet and washing basin and floor scales. The bathroom was bright and chic with matte black tiled floor and REN Skincare shampoo, conditioner and body wash, scattered around the bathroom for some much needed pampering.
