Somewhere quirky to have your work Christmas party? Or a meal out? – Why not try eating at the Crazy Bear?! This year the company I work for celebrated their 25th anniversary since being set up so it was quite a huge deal for them to book a memorable venue for our Christmas party. It was slightly earlier than when we normally have it as we combined it with one of the directors birthdays and also a couple will be away nearer Christmas so it was nice to have them all here for the Christmas party. DREAMY CHRISTMAS MEAL WITH WORK

We all got together in the Hunting Lodge which was the room we had booked for our Christmas meal. It was beautiful, very rustic with a huge wooden table in the middle and lots of animal heads and antlers on the walls. The table was pre-set out with glasses and place settings but we moved a few bits around to accommodate our own decorations which included burgundy table runners and glass jars with tea light candles in to give the room a bit of brightness and we curled real ivy around the candle jars for a bit of festiveness.

We then placed our little gifts for everyone on a table at one end of the room. Then we turned on the festive music through their sound system as background music. Everyone milled around and talked for a little bit whilst enjoying our welcome drink of festive bubbles before being seated in massive black throne chairs ready for our 5 course meal. Obviously I ordered their vegetarian option which was: a palette cleanser of a baby Parsnip soup.

Then Roasted Butternut Squash Soup, then it was a palette cleanser of Champagne infused ice. I had their Root Vegetable Tarte Tatin for my main then the Chocolate and Cherry Sundae. For drinks I ordered two of their Summerfruit Special Mocktails. This contains raspberry, passionfruit, apple and pineapple juice blended together decorated with a passionfruit slice on top and lots of ice.

I also purchased a special dress for this occasion as well as for my colleagues wedding next year. So I wanted to showcase it here as well! I’ve always loved the brand Self Portrait and never thought I’d have the guts to order such a daring dress. But I took the plunge on Black Friday and I didn’t regret it one bit – it’s such a gorgeous dress. I received so many compliments on my dress and felt so confident and comfortable in it. It was definitely worth the money.
