My 2nd time to Reading Festival in about 4 years, this is my review and write up from Reading Festival 2016. I unfortunately didn’t get many good photos as there was so many people. As you were so squashed in the tents and main stage arenas. But this is a few good ones that I got from the two days I was there. Me and my Dad went on Friday and Saturday and drove home after each day. My feet absolutely ached and had so many blisters after each day from all of the walking and I could literally have slept for days.
READING FESTIVAL 2016 // THE ACTS WE SAW THERE
DAY ONE
We drove down to Reading and left the house around 12 ish. And got there just in time to see Nothing But Thieves on the Main Stage which was at 2:15pm. They are my all time favourite band and we have seen them live about 4 times. Will be 5 times in December. Conor’s voice is just amazing and they really know how to work the crowd. And they sound more amazing live than they do on their records.
Then we waited a little bit for Lower Than Atlantis. Which I hadn’t seen live since the 2012 Reading Festival and they were great. We then walked around and went to see Russell Howard who was hilarious. His tent was pretty much packed to the brim and also more people sat outside sat and listened to him. We then got something to eat and then went to watch Chvrches. Disclosure and then Foals before heading back home.

DAY TWO
The next day we drove back to Reading and parked in the Queens Road Car Park which seemed a lot closer than our car park before which was good. We stopped and had a drink and something to eat in Cafe Nero in the town centre before heading the festival site. As we were getting our bags checked the asshole security guy took my deodorant off me which really pissed me off, we then walked really fast to the NME tent to see Sunset Sons and got there just in time.
Dad then received a message on his phone from the R&L’s app saying You Me At Six where the surprise guests on the Pit stage at 4pm so we had to go there and see them and the tent was absolutely packed but we managed to get in. We then went to get some food and a drink before heading to the main stage to see Imagine Dragons and Red Hot Chili Peppers before heading home.
Have you been to Reading Festival? Who was your favourite act?
Awh thank you, they came out quite badly compared to normal as we were so squashed I could barely hold the camera straight. I can never get Glasto tickets, although I feel like it's too big and over-hyped for some reason ah well! xx
Great photos! I went to Glasto this year but Reading looked great too! xx
