    my 2017 highlights

I love reading other bloggers posts on what they’ve achieved over the year so I thought I would write one about what me and my blog have achieved over the year 2017! These are my 2017 highlights and my goals for 2018!

MY 2017 HIGHLIGHTS AND 2018 GOALS

    JANUARY

I turned Vegetarian and it’s one of my biggest accomplishments this year! I never thought I could say goodbye to my love of bacon and burgers but I’ve found a new love in avocados, veggie burgers and halloumi.

    FEBRUARY

Went on my second trip to Thailand with the parents. We travelled around Bangkok a little bit more and then moved onto Krabi and Chiang Mai. You can read more about my adventures in my blog posts on Bangkok, Krabi and Chiang Mai.

My blog also had its logo and header created by the lovely Giada from Miel Cafe Design  which you can read more about how it came about here in this post.  I wanted to create a logo that reflected my favourite things and also that reflected what I blogged about which was also incorporated into the colour scheme. I wanted it to have a welcoming, relaxed and girly vibe.

    MARCH

I was able to save up and purchase my dream laptop on a pay monthly scheme. Which helps with my blogging and everyday life.

    APRIL

Not only did we celebrate Easter but I was also surprised early. That I would be going to Iceland for my 21st birthday. That was in June. It had been on my bucket list for years and I was finally going!

    MAY

I conquered my anxiety and finally signed up to my local gym in order to build a healthier, happier and stronger me.

    JUNE

I celebrated my 21st birthday in Iceland with my family and I couldn’t believe how insanely beautiful this country was. Make sure you read about my adventure in Iceland in all of my blog posts under Iceland!

For my birthday my Dad bought us tickets to go to Goodwood Festival Of Speed, you can read all about it here.

    JULY

My Dad and I got tickets to BST Festival which I’ve never been to before but we really enjoyed it.
I also signed up and went on my first Where’s Mollie Global Travellers event to Snowdonia in Wales. I managed to pull through my mental and physical barriers. I’ve even managed to hike to the top of Mount Snowdon with 59 other strangers from all over the country.

I was also kindly sent these two new colognes from Jo Malone from their brand new English Oak range which I reviewed here on my blog.

    AUGUST

I said hello to my brand new business card design for my blog thanks to Giada from Miel Cafe Design!

I also said hello to my new bun Oreo who has his own instagram account after I mourned the early passing of my beautiful bun Pip.

I attended my 2nd Reading Festival with my Dad.

    SEPTEMBER

We welcomed our brand new family member who was our foster dog Max. Who has now permanently joined our family after we sadly lost our beloved Charlie a month ago!

    OCTOBER

I went on my first charity walk for Alzheimer’s in Reading.

Then I attended my second Where’s Mollie event, this time travelling to the Lake District.

    NOVEMBER

Went to see my favourite band for the 5th time in Camden!
I also went to see Royal Blood for the first time with my Dad in Alexandra Palace which was insane. Their drummer is soooo talented.
I then went to a work dinner in The Ivy that’s in Marlow which was so yummy!

    DECEMBER

Celebrated my works Christmas party in the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield which was beautiful.

We also woke up to the most snow we’ve had in years which made the most perfect family day to go walking. We walked in the snow with Max, the first time he’s seen snow with us and he couldn’t stop eating it.

Celebrated Christmas with my family and exchanged gifts in front of our lovely tree.
