If you haven’t been to Iceland before and you are looking for inspiration to go then these 12 photos will inspire you to visit. Iceland draws thousands of people from all over the world every year, all for different reasons. Mainly to see the wonders of their landscapes and natural occurrences. Iceland had been on my wanderlust list for ages and it wasn’t until my 21st birthday my family surprised me with a trip there.

Bookmark your desired places to visit on Google Maps. So you can plan your road trip around the Ring Road. There are so many amazing and breathtaking places in Iceland to see, so much so they top the Blue Lagoon a million times. There is so much more to Iceland than just the Blue Lagoon! These 12 photos that I have chosen for this post really highlight the beauty of Iceland and it’s landscapes.
WHERE TO STAY IN ICELAND
When we visited Iceland, we booked a really awesome apartment that is owned by a lovely Icelandic couple. The apartment was in the Stakkholt Reykjavik Apartments. Which is just outside of the city. It was a quick walk to the centre of Reykjavik. So it was perfect to get to restaurants and the hot spots in the city. The apartment was very clean, spacious and modern with Apple TV and the most amazing view of the harbour from their balcony.
There are plenty of hotels, apartments and hostels around Iceland. So search for your preferred place to stay using Booking.com, AirBnB or TripAdvisor.

DRIVE AROUND ICELAND & SEE THE BEST IT HAS TO OFFER
There is nothing better than driving around Iceland’s southern Ring Road out of Reykjavik. Sure Reykjavik is beautiful. But there is so much more to see outside of the city that needs to be seen. Hire a car or book a tour bus trip out of the city for something amazing. Check out my post on car hire and get booking! There are so many different spots along the roads to see. You could drive for miles.
