• 5 Places To Eat At In Belgium

Are you a huge foodie? Travelling to Belgium and looking for places to eat, here is my selection of favourite places to eat in Belgium in which me and my friend Amy ate at whilst exploring Brussels, Brugge, Antwerp and Ghent. If you have any other places to eat recommendations, please leave them down below.

5 PLACES TO EAT IN BELGIUM INCLUDING BRUGGE, GHENT AND ANTWERP

    OTOMAT PIZZA, GHENT

On our final day in Belgium, me and Amy explored Ghent. We were getting quite hungry when we arrived and decided to stop at this really cute cafe near the tram line called Otomat. They do pizza but in a really cute and quirky way. Their pizzas have quite a thin base so they aren’t stodgy and horrible but just enough to fill you up. We chose to have their lunch time offer which is a small pizza and a side salad. I chose to have their Margarita pizza with their house salad of tomatoes and onions. For a drink I had a Sprite and then decided to try their Vintage Coke.

You can also find them in Brussels, Brugge, Antwerp and Leuven.

    BAOGO, BRUSSELS

On Friday, we were desperate to find somewhere to eat after our travelling and being up super early. Once we reached the main square of Brussels we went on a hunt to find somewhere to eat and came across this awesome restaurant. It was a Korean restaurant that did Bao burgers, sweet potato fries and poke bowls.

I’d never tried a Bao burger before so I was really intrigued and couldn’t wait to eat my burger as I was so hungry. I ordered their Halloumi burger in the Bao bun with their sweet potato fries on the side. The Bao buns are white in colour, it has the taste of a normal burger bun with a slight sweet taste but they’re super yummy.

    MON, ANTWERP

Once Amy and I had explored MAS viewpoint for some great views, we really needed to get some lunch so we headed back down the a little restaurant on the waterfront called Mon. It was a very quirky vibe and style inside but we wanted to sit outside as it was so warm and sunny. I ordered their Feta and Greek salad which was yummy and so refreshing in the hot weather. I could have eaten it all over again.

    THE POTATO BAR, BRUGGE

You’ve got to try Belgian fries with cheese mayonnaise and croquettes. They are so delicious and The Potato Bar really know how to do it. You can either order their pre-set selection or customise your own by ordering your own flavours of mayonnaise and croquettes to suit your personal tastes. I ordered a small portion of their fries, with their Classic Vegetarian Cheese croquette and home-made cheese mayonnaise which was Old Bruges cheese and let me tell you it was super cheesy but I loved it. I could totally eat that again right now writing about it.

    THE HOUSE OF WAFFLES, BRUGGE

You can’t go to Belgium and not try some Belgian waffles. We stopped at this lovely cafe that does waffles with a massive range of choices from sweet to savoury topping. I chose to try their Strawberry Fields which is covered in whipped cream and fresh strawberries. I could definitely eat these waffles all over again especially drizzled in yummy chocolate sauce!
