    travel diary mallorca

Read about what I got up to on my holiday, this is my travel diary from Mallorca with my family. This is my travel diary and photo diary from Mallorca. I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Mallorca with the family and my Nan. I would have done a more in depth travel diary like I normally do when I get back from travelling.

But we didn’t really venture out much so there isn’t really much to write about and I didn’t get many pictures as we didn’t really venture out anywhere special like we normally would. We only caught the little island train to Cala D’or which is the main shopping area and visited the beach other than that we stayed on our resort and the local bars and restaurants.

    EXPLORING MALLORCA

I really wanted to explore Mallorca more and visit Palma Cathedral, Drach Caves and Port de Sóller. Which is said to be really nice but we didn’t. Our hotel was pretty average and the all inclusive food wasn’t my favourite. I prefer going out to restaurants and trying different cuisines instead of eating the same food all week. Although the weather was lovely all week, hitting almost 30 degrees everyday.

We had about an hour of rain one day which wasn’t too bad. It was quite cooling in the end as it was very humid and sticky. I tried to get a good tan but the heat was a bit too much for me and could only spend a short amount of time in the sun before hiding under the umbrella – although I did get a little tan on my shoulders and chest.

    FAMILY HOLIDAY IN MALLORCA

We booked this holiday as a surprise as it was my mums 50th birthday at the beginning of the month and this was her surprise holiday away, whilst on this holiday we also announced to my mum that we are going to Thailand in January as it was my brothers 21st, my 19th, my parents 25th wedding anniversary and my mums 50th so a year of special events and this was a present to all of us – which I can’t wait for.

I have already started to count down and planning my wardrobe. (3 months and 27 days exactly) I didn’t want to leave sunny Mallorca and returned back to England with the typical English weather of being freezing cold and rainy 🙁 Although I do love Christmas, I’m not a fan of being cold – so I think it’s time to buy a new Autumn and Winter wardrobe.

Have you been to Mallorca before? What were your favourite things to do?
