Before we booked our week long stay in Derbyshire, we did some researching and came across this lovely cottage on a farm called Bings Farm Cottage that was available and in a prime location for what we needed. It was the ideal place to stay with Max our dog and perfect for walks around the Peaks either within walking or driving distance.
BINGS FARM COTTAGE // OUR COSY COTTAGE IN DERBYSHIRE
Our cottage Bings Farm Cottage is located on a working farm in Whaley Bridge, which is 16 miles from Manchester and is only a short train journey away from the city. On the working farm there are 2 other cottages with another one currently being refurbished, the cottages are run by a husband and wife and their daughter and her fiance help out if they are unavailable.
AMENITIES
It is such a lovely cosy cottage with a large living room, kitchen and 3 bedrooms (two kings and a twin room). It has a utility room and a shower room downstairs with another bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower. Both the kitchen and the living room have log burners to help keep you cosy on a cold rainy day and the log store outside is stocked up with logs and kindling.

The cottage has a nicely sized back garden with a patio and table set which overlooks a sheep field. Our dog Max, loved looking out the window at the sheep. There is also an outdoor patio area towards the front of the cottage with seating and a table. In front and at the side of the cottage there are a couple of parking spaces as well.

THE ROOMS
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 king sized rooms and 1 twin room. Each room has it’s own wardrobe and chest of drawers for clothes and storage and a chair. The beds were comfy and you had a selection of pillows to choose from.
LOCATION
It was located just outside of Whaley Bridge, a short drive from it actually through some country roads but nothing a normal car couldn’t handle. It was down a quiet side road that goes up and over and down into the centre of town where all the shops are. It was about a 7 minute drive from a big Tesco’s which is ideal for your food shopping and anything else you need. There was also a B&M next to the Tesco’s and a Co-Op on Buxton Road for more shopping and necessities.
