Recently I have taken on the challenge for myself to become more eco friendly. It’s become a passion of mine to reduce the waste I use and help look after our planet. If you are looking at becoming more eco friendly and starting to use less waste, carry on reading for my tips and favourite products to use.If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me posting a lot of facts about plastic waste etc over the past few months to help raise awareness. Whilst clearing out my non cruelty free makeup products, I have also been clearing out my non eco friendly products. Using them up and vowing to never purchase them again.

Whilst clearing out my old products. I have been on the search for brands who are eco friendly and promote using less waste. This was when I came across Danielle Beauty on Instagram promoting their Erase Your Face makeup removers. The ladies at Danielle Beauty have kindly sent me their Purple Erase Your Face Makeup Remover Cloth* to review and write about.
I have become such a huge fan of my Simple Kind To Skin Face Wipes over the past few years. As they really help my skin when it’s having a down day. But they are so bad for the environment that I want to make a change. And cut down on the amount of wipes and waste I use.
I use my face wipes twice a day, in the morning to cleanse and in the afternoon as my first step to removing makeup. And once you add all of those up, it’s putting a huge dent in the amount of waste we throw away. I have also been using up all of my old products that I don’t want anymore, before throwing them away so I don’t waste anything.
WHAT ARE THE ERASE YOUR FACE CLOTHS?
They are a super soft 100% polyester cloth that can be used on the face. To either remove makeup and cleanse your skin. They are purely water activated and there is no need for additional makeup remover to remove and cleanse but you can if you need to. They are perfect for all skin types and can be used when you are travelling.
HOW DO I USE IT?
- Wet the cloth with warm water to remove all makeup including waterproof mascara and foundation without harmful chemicals or makeup removers.
- Either remove and cleanse using your favourite eco friendly cleanser or just warm water.
HOW DO I CLEAN IT?
- When you need to wash it, either machine wash in cold water or wash in warm water and hang to dry.
- Wash on a gentle cycle using non chlorine bleach when needed.
- Do not iron and tumble dry on a low setting.
- Machine wash before first use.

Are you interesting in going eco friendly and zero waste? Let me know in the comments below if you have any tips.
These are great tips! I only recently realised how bad wet wipes are for the environment, so using a cloth is such a good idea!
I was so shocked by how many face wipes I got through, I wanted to make that change. They are so bad as they don’t compost quick enough x
I also love suggestions on how to be more eco friendly! I’ve been turning old containers and glass jars into terrariums!
Ohhh that sounds like an awesome idea 🙂
I could be a whole lot better about using less plastic. I also love using the makeup remover clothes because they’re less wasteful (though I still use the wipes, but not as much) and they really clean out your face.

I was surprised at how many face wipes I actually get through, I really I had to cut the number down aha x

I’m trying to do my bit more for the environment and create less waste. I always use muslin cloths by Liz Earle, but I’d love to give this a try!

It makes you feel so much better knowing you’re not wasting silly things like cotton ear buds and face wipes that we use daily. Liz Earle’s cloths are amazing, I love using my cleanse and hot polish! x
No tips but I do use metal straws. I have a couple of similar makeup remover cloths but mine are from Magnitone. Pretty sure they all do just a good a job. 🙂
