If you are looking for something to do in Singapore city, I highly recommend visiting Clarke Quay and jumping on one of the ferry trips around Marina Bay. There is so much to do around Clarke Quay, from places to eat and things to see and do.

EXPLORING CLARKE QUAY
If you are looking into exploring Clarke Quay the historical river quay in Singapore, make sure you read this guide. It is home to many shops and restaurants and is a great place to chill out with the whole family. Clarke Quay is almost like Havana in Cuba because of it’s pastel coloured buildings. It is great for night life as there are plenty of bars and nightclubs on the quay for locals and tourists.
HOW TO GET TO CLARKE QUAY?
The best way of getting to Clarke Quay is via MRT. It is super easy to use once you get the hang of the different lines but I like that it’s very fast, cheap and air conditioned. The best station to get off at is Clarke Quay because it is right next to Clarke Quay. This brings you directly into Clarke Quay through the main shopping mall so you can walk through to get to the river.

MARINA BAY RIVER CRUISE
After we explored Clarke Quay, we decided to hop on the Marina Bay River Cruise boat. It starts off from the harbour in Clarke Quay and it will take you around Marina Bay so you can get great views. An adult ticket costs S$25 and children cost S$15 for a round trip. The river cruise takes you around Clarke Quay, Boat Quay which is in front of the shophouses.
It then takes you around Marina Bay giving you lots of history and information along the way so you can understand how the area grew. You go under 6 of the 8 bridges in the Marina Bay area. It takes you past the Marina Bay Sands Hotel from the river as well as “The Durian”, their High Court, Library and Science & Art Museum.
You can book your tickets for the cruise here or book them when you’re there.

Happy travels,
I love the pastel coloured buildings. Never thought about visiting Singapore before but I might have to add it to my bucket list!

You definitely should! It’s such a lovely country. The coloured buildings always remind me of Havana in Cuba x
It’s seeing posts like this that really make me wish I could travel but sadly I can’t. I’m glad I get to see it through other peoples experiences though. So thank you for sharing! 🙂

Singapore is amazing – so clean and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Flights can sometimes be expensive but you can always come across a good deal or tie it in with another Asian country to make the flights cheaper x
