I’ve always been interested in learning about horoscopes. And if our star signs actually mean anything. Am I really like my star sign? Does my star sign mean anything? Is there any science behind it? I have never been one to believe in god but I’ve always believed in the science and how things work. So I thought I would write a little blog post about if my star sign actually means anything. And if I relate to it in any way.

Before we start, I put up a poll on my Twitter to see if anyone else believes in star signs. And here is the response it got…

So it seems like the majority of people believe in star signs more than we thought. But are we anything like them?!

SO WHAT STAR SIGN AM I?

I’m a Gemini. Gemini’s are born between 21st May – 21st June. I was born on the 15th of June. They are represented by the Twins, Castor and Pollux. Astrologers believe Gemini’s have a volatile temperament. That their strength however is their versatility. And that their versatility allows them to learn a little about everything and develop skills in many areas. Gemini’s are considered to be uniquely artistic and their creative abilities are unlike other signs.

Often considered to be very intelligent individuals. They have a wide appreciate for the arts, philosophy, history and the natural sciences. They do not like boring people or routine procedures. And therefore struggle to deal with authoritative figures.

I’m the Twins. The Duo Personality. Gemini.

Gemini’s are noted to be drastic and hasty yet very responsible and disciplined. They are considered to be the most misunderstood of all signs. Due to their dual personality expressed by the twins of their sign.

Because of this, don’t be surprised to often find Gemini’s in different moods and therefore mood swings can occur often for Gemini’s because of their high degree of mental processing and thinking. This makes them quite philosophical people. Gemini’s are sensitive as well but use their high intelligence to counter anything that’s upsetting them.

Strengths: Gentle, affectionate, curious, adaptable, ability to learn quickly and exchange ideas.
Weaknesses: Nervous, inconsistent, indecisive.
Gemini Likes: Music, books, magazines, chats with nearly anyone, short trips around the town.
Gemini Dislikes: Being alone, being confined, repetition and routine.

Expressive and quick-witted, Gemini represents two different personalities in one and you will never be sure which one you will face. They are sociable, communicative and ready for fun, with a tendency to suddenly get serious, thoughtful and restless. They are fascinated with the world itself, extremely curious, with a constant feeling that there is not enough time to experience everything they want to see.

I have been through phases of different creative abilities from my dancing to my photography and blogging.

Mood Swings

I think everyone goes through different mood swings in their lives but maybe it’s more noticeable in Gemini’s?

Sensitive

I’m a very sensitive person emotionally and get emotional quite quickly, I even feel someone else’s pain too so if someone is upset I take it upon myself to make sure they feel better and try to cheer them up and be there for them.

Being gentle and affectionate

I definitely agree with this one I feel like I’m the most gentle and affectionate person especially if I’m in a relationship with someone, I’d like to be next to them and touching them in someway whether it be holding their hand or cuddling up next to them.

Dislike being alone or confined

I definitely agree I hate being alone as it’s one of my big phobias of being left or abandoned and also hate being confined to small spaces depending on where it is, I’m ok with lifts and couldn’t deal with being in a small cave.

Love music, books and magazines

I love listening to music it always makes me feel calm and helps me zone out when I feel anxious, it’s always been my saviour with my anxiety and I do have a ridiculous book and magazine collection.

Struggle to deal with authoritative figures

I definitely agree with this one, I don’t know what it is but if someone confronts me with something I just can’t seem to deal with it and end up crying – even if it’s a good thing I can’t seem to cope with it properly.

Appreciate natural sciences

I have a love for knowing how the world works and learning all about nature and I especially have a love for crystals and natural creations and things created by the earth.

RELATIONSHIP COMPATIBILITY

Gemini’s usually get along very well with Leos, Aries and Sagittariuses. They do not see eye to eye with Pieces , Cancers, Virgos and Scorpios. Gemini are best suited for people of Aquarius and Libra signs but also go well with Capricorn and Taurus signs. – But we’ll see shall we?!
