I wanted to write a little review of the apartment we stayed in whilst in Reykjavik in Iceland. It was such a lovely clean apartment which was really modern. My Dad and I did a little bit of research into places to stay in Reykjavik and came across this lovely apartment building just minutes walk away from Reykjavik centre. With a small supermarket and plenty of restaurants near by you are never stuck for somewhere to eat and for somewhere to buy the essentials. We booked our stay in Reykjavik in an apartment owned by a lovely Icelandic couple in Stakkholt Downtown Apartments.
WHERE TO FIND IT?
It’s located in the Stakkholt region of Reykjavik. It’s on the roads Storholt and Brautarholt. It’s 750 yards from Hallgrímskirkja Church, 0.9 miles from Harpa Concert Hall & Conference Centre, 1.1 miles from The Natural Museum of Iceland and the nearest airport is Keflavik International Airport
Our apartment was in a small complex with it’s own rubbish bins and it’s own underground parking area. It also had a double bed, a double sofa bed and a single put me up bed which the whole apartment could house 5 people comfortably. The bathroom was really modern with a walk in shower, washing machine and tumble dryer and usual bathroom utensils with a light up mirror and they even left some shampoo and conditioner behind which we didn’t use. In the living room area they had Apple TV set up on the television with lots of atlas’s and books to read.
