Since turning cruelty free I have been slowly sorting through my makeup collection and making sure I either use up my non cruelty free products, selling them or giving them away to friends and family. This past week I sorted through my skincare products and also all my lip products. I had hoarded so many lip products from years ago that are starting to go horrible or ones I hardly use that really needed to be binned. My lipstick storage style has changed since my last post so I thought I would do an updated one.
My first lipstick storage container is this acrylic lipstick holder from eBay which holds my most used lipsticks which are all cruelty free (apart from my Clinique ones which I’m using up gradually) and come in gorgeous packaging, as you can probably tell most of them are rose gold. This also features my favourite cruelty free lip liners which are mostly NARS, bareMinerals, Laura Geller and Laura Mercier. My favourite lipsticks to wear at the moment is the NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound, bareMinerals GEN NUDE Matte Buttercream in Swag, Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria and the Rosie For Autograph lipstick in Camisole Blush.
In the acrylic storage on top of my vanity – In the middle drawer I have my NYX Lingerie liquid lipsticks, my Colourpop lippie stix and liquid lipstick both in the shade Lumiere, a lipstick from Pacifica and Bagsy, a balm from Ted Baker and some lipsticks from NARS. In the small top drawer I have my Milani Colour Statement lipsticks which smell like watermelon and are great affordable lipsticks.
In my lip drawer of my vanity are lipsticks that I very rarely reach for or non cruelty free products that need using up such as my Benefit balms, Bourjois liquid lipsticks and lipstick and my L’Oreal lipsticks which I really like and wish were cruelty free. I also have my lip balms and lip scrub in this drawer.
