All opinions and views mentioned on shanylou are my own (Shannon Baker) and they are mentioned for information, enjoyment and reviewing purposes only. Everybody has their own opinions and these are mine. I do not wish to offend or insult anybody by what I write concerning products, personal opinions or views; I am just offering my review and opinion on particular products and how they work for me and how I feel about things. If I was sent a product(s) from a company I will always state in the blog post. I will never lie about what I think of a product and will always give my 100% true opinion.

I want to create a reliable and trustworthy source of information for all of my loyal readers and I will never be paid to speak positively about a product if I do not agree. I want my readers to feel as though they can trust what I say, and that they are not being sold products for the sake of it. I too am a blog reader, and I would hate to feel as though someone was lying to my face; therefore I follow the same principal. I will be constructive in my opinions but if I really dislike a product, then I will say so. In some cases, if I really dislike them, I will sometimes choose not to feature them entirely, as it would be a waste of my own time doing so, and the readers time, reading them. I only feature items that I feel deserve to be featured in some way or form whether that be on my website or on my social media. I will only accept collaborations and partnerships with brands that I feel fit my readers and my personal views. I do not accept products from brands just for the sake of it and to receive free stuff.

Any posts written by alternative authors will be labelled as a guest post, otherwise they are all written by myself. I have not accepted any guest posts in the past so all posts from the past have been written by myself.

I have now introduced affiliate links to my blog. I am currently using Skimlinks on all linked items to earn a very small commission on product sales at no cost to the reader. I am also using the Shop Style Collective widgets in my blog posts to earn a very small commission at no extra cost to the reader and also makes easy shopping for my readers to find and shop my much loved products.

I also have discount codes and affiliate links with certain brands, you can find them on my Work With Me page and I will also include them in any posts that mention that brand. These codes and affiliate links are at no cost to you and will provide you with a small discount on your purchases.

I will add a notice to any blog post that includes an affiliate link to let my readers know.

Working with brands will either be started by myself or the brand. I will initiate the collaboration with an email introducing myself, my collaboration rates and ideas for the collaboration. The discussion will go further with emails and then the payment will be confirmed before the writing and production will commence.

There will be times where I will accept gifted products after the initial discussion with the brand. Gifted products can vary from physical products to experiences and events.

As this blog grows, more and more collaborations and gifted products will be featured in my blog posts. All collaborations will be marked accordingly at near the top of the blog post reading ‘This post was kindly sponsored by ___.’ and all gifted products which have been sent to me will be marked with a ‘*’ next to the product name. Other than that, products not marked with an ‘*’ have been purchased with my own money/gift card(s). You can find all of the companies I have worked with here. I will only accept to work with brands that I feel fit in with my readers and my personal views. I do not accept to work with brands for the sake of receiving free products.

As my blog grows there will be more chance of me becoming an ambassador for brands. When I become an ambassador for brands this will include me promoting the brand(s) and also providing my readers with discount codes to purchase products they love. I will disclose which companies I am ambassador for so my readers are aware. You can find all of the companies I am ambassador for here along with the discount codes for you to use on purchases.
