A foundation perfect for those with oily skin and large pores. Does it work for me? One of my new foundation favourites. This is perfect for those with oily skin and large pores. See what I think of it here!
A new foundation added to my collection and it’s the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation. I got my foundation in the shade Ivory 115 and it retails for about £7.99. It is tailored for those with oily skin and large pores. Aiming to give you a flawless matte base with no fillers or waxes for coverage that is tailored to your skin, The foundation is a liquid gel consistency that blends seamlessly to your skin. It comes in a clear bottle so you can see what the shades look like and also comes with a black lid with the brand detailing on the front of the lid. Unfortunately this foundation doesn’t come with a pump, but I’m sure there is a pump out there that will fit this bottle. This foundation also claims to give you skin the way it’s meant to be, by giving you a fresh, breathable and 100% you foundation that looks like your not wearing any at all. It also has SPF 18 and comes in 18 shades to suit all skin tones. You can also buy the matching pressed powder to this foundation to give you an extra matte and poreless base – here! The shade Ivory is a pretty good match for my skin. This foundation is a liquid consistency but it has a matte lightweight finish with still a medium coverage. This foundation is suitable for those with normal to oily skin.
HOW IT WEARS
It wears really well, it definitely covers as much as it can and definitely makes my pores look less visible which is amazing, especially when I pair it with my Benefit POREfessional Primer. It is very easy to blend and definitely has a buildable coverage. It feels lightweight doesn’t feel like it’s clogging up your pores which is great if you suffer from oily skin or large pores like I do. It has a natural finish that looks like your natural skin.
I need to try this for a full day to find out how long it lasts, but I can tell it might last quite a long time – probably around the same time as the Infallible lasts on my skin as they have a similar finish and consistency to them. I will update this when I find out if it lasts well. Update – I tried this foundation today to work to see how well it lasts and how it wears during a normal day at work and it wears fine and lasts quite a long time however towards the end of the day it was coming off in patches from where I was touching my face and I didn’t powder all day so I needed to powder mid-way through the day to make sure I wasn’t shiny. And also it was showing up all of my dry patches from the really bad acne I have at the moment, so I would either not wear it when my acne is really bad or seriously moisturise before wearing it.
I really like this foundation and it works perfectly well with my oily skin and large pores. I only have to powder it once throughout the day and blot too. Unfortunately this foundation isn’t cruelty free so I’m having to use it up and then I will never purchase it again which is really sad.
