A foundation for those with oily skin that everyone has been raving about. Do I love it? Trying a new foundation from L’Oreal which is suitable for those with oily skin. Will it work me? Lets find out.
A new foundation to add to my collection and it’s the L’oreal Infallible 24 Hour Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory. I have been reading so many reviews about this foundation for quite a while and finally picked one up. The packaging is a squeezy tube with black and red detailing with a clear bit in the middle of the tube so you can see the colour of the foundation. The foundation is lightweight with a medium coverage suitable for those with oily skin. It has a matte result and claims to last for 24 hours. It says it’s clinically proven to be water and steam proof. The foundation is liquidy but sets in a matte finish. Unfortunately this foundation is actually too light for me, so I’m going to have to buy another one in a slightly darker shade.
HOW IT WEARS
It wears quite well and is very easy to blend. It’s a mattifying foundation with a demi-matte finish. It claims to be waterproof and steam proof. It has flawless coverage with no cakey effect. It is also enriched with perlite technology and reduces the appearance of shine. It’s perfect for all skin types! Once it dries and has been on for quite a long time, it does show dry skin so make sure your skin is moisturised well.
It lasts for quite a while, I wore it to work for a day to test it out and it lasted quite long with me only powdering once to make sure I wasn’t too shiny. By the end of the day it was showing signs of coming off and some of my redness showing through. It claims to be 24 hour wearing but I’m not 100% sure if that’s true, but who would wear foundation for that long?!
Unfortunately this foundation didn’t last as long as I had hoped after wearing it throughout the day it was starting to come off which I don’t want with my oily and acne prone skin and it was also showing my redness from my rosacea. The shade I picked up was also slightly too light for me which wasn’t the best. I definitely prefer their 24 Hour Matte foundation over this one but also this foundation isn’t cruelty free so I’ve decided to sell this one as I’ve hardly used much product.
Have you used this foundation before? What do you think of it?
