Debenhams Haul ft Too Faced & Kat Von D | First Impressions

#BLOGMASDAY1 A mini haul in Debenhams picking up some goodies from Too Faced and Kat Von D. I know this isn’t the first post on the 1st of December but it is my post in my #Blogmas series on the blog. I’m going to try and give #Blogmas a go and try and post everyday if not every other day depending on what my schedule can handle. I’ve not tried anything from Kat Von D and I’ve been dying to pick something up, I also only own an eyeshadow palette from Too Faced and have been wanting to buy some more from them for ages. We went on a very last minute shopping trip to London which originally was going to be in Westfields in White City but the traffic was horrendous which then turned into shopping on Oxford Street. We went into lots of department stores looking around to see what we can get and I ended up picking up some beauty bits from Debenhams and two CD’s from HMV.

The first item I picked up was the Shade & Light Contour Palette from Kat Von D. I have been dying to purchase products from her beauty line but haven’t seemed to have gotten round to it so I’m glad I finally did. It was absolutely packed around her beauty counter in Debenhams with everyone fighting to get to the products they want so I’m glad I was able to grab this palette before it went out of stock. I really like the range of shades in this palette with 3 highlight shades and 3 contour/bronzer shades which are perfect for all skin tones. I love using Lucid on my cheekbones to lightly highlight and Sombre to lightly contour.

The other product I picked up was the New York Grande Hotel Cafe set from Too Faced which is absolutely gorgeous. It’s shaped like a hotel which opens up to reveal 3 eyeshadow palettes and a mini of their popular Better Than Sex mascara which I have been dying to try out. The 3 eyeshadow palettes are all scented with Eggnog Latte, Gingerbread Cookie and Peppermint Mocha. Each palette has a range of everyday shades which I love and some which are slightly more daring for me anyway. I really love wearing 3 of the shades in the Eggnog Latte palette, I wear Skinny Latte in the crease and blend that out, I put Eggnog Latte on the lid and finally Iced Coffee in the outer corner of the lid and blend it together to create a golden everyday eye look. This was meant to be £46 but I managed to get it with a discount of £41.60 which was great, it wasn’t a lot but still a little goes a long way.

Have you tried any of these before? What did you think of them?
